St. Patrick’s Day brings to mind all things green, leprechauns, and of course, white Irish drinkers who will consume one too many pints of Guinness on this beloved holiday. But perhaps the pot of gold that film lovers in select cities will be seeking can be found on March 25th, in the award-winning independent film “White Irish Drinkers.”
The story, set in 1975 Brooklyn, is anything but a timepiece. The lovechild of writer, producer, and director John Gray (“Ghost Whisperer”), the film is a semiautobiographical drama that has been in the making for over a decade. “The more personal the story, the more difficult it seems to get it made,” Gray said anticipating the film’s first theatrical release next week.
