2013, where did you go?!?!
The travels this year began in Northern California with a foodie adventure in San Francisco and Berkeley.
Winter adventures were the theme in a roadtrip around Southern Colorado (from Durango to Telluride to Ouray to the heaven that is Dunton Hot Springs).
Then it was off to N’Awleans for Jazz Fest followed by a wine fest in British Columbia’s Okanagan region.
After a much-needed liver cleanse, summer fun was calling in Fiji, where the snorkeling was as good as I’ve ever seen and the sunrises and sunsets left a lasting impression.
I was home for a bit, and then it was off to Banff and Lake Louise for some mountain serenity and adventure.
The adventures continued a short time later with my second visit to East Africa, taking the fun from the bush to the beach and exploring the coast of Kenya in addition to another “pinch-me-I’m-dreaming” safari.
A spa trip in Quebec‘s countryside regions of Launaudiere and Mauricie was just what the relaxation gods ordered to sooth the spirit and soul.
And the year capped off with a first visit to Asia, visiting Narita and Tokyo, Japan and Borneo, Malaysia, before returning home to enjoy the holidays, California-style, matching flip flops with cashmere sweaters.
