With close to a thousand people populating Wisteria Lane on the back lot of Universal Studios last Saturday night, actress Teri Hatcher exclaimed, ““I’ve never seen Wisteria Lane look so good!”
Hatcher, who plays “Susan Mayer” on ABC’s hit show “Desperate Housewives,” was one of the many cast members, celebrities, and fans of the show who gathered on the outdoor set for “A Block Party on Wisteria Lane” to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The first event of its kind on Wisteria Lane – and the first time the set has been open to the public – allowed attendees to enter some of the infamous home facades and sets used on the iconic show. Wisteria Lane is technically “Colonial Street,” which has been used for many motion pictures and television shows since 1946, including So Goes My Love (filmed at what is now the Solis home on DH), “Leave It to Beaver,” Gremlins, The ‘Burbs, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
