Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood.
With January marking national blood donor awareness month, ABC’s hit reality show “The Bachelor” has teamed up with the American Red Cross to raise awareness around the country about the importance of donating blood.
The month-long event – part of the show’s“Bachelor Gives Back” program – kicked off on January 8 in Los Angeles with current Bachelor Brad Womack and series host Chris Harrison at the helm. A number of former Bachelors and Bachelorettes — including DeAnna Pappas, Juan Barbieri, Kiptyn Locke and Tenley Molzahn — were in attendance to both give blood and thanks to other donors for their generosity.
